Wed 3rd September - Joe Publics presents... Triggerfish with The Red Bullets + Hazel Mills Triggerfish are an up and coming 4-piece Bristol based band currently making waves on the Bristol music scene. Gigging regularly around top Bristol and Bath venues, they offer an exciting display of prog indie rock doused in electro-synth effects, melodic vocals and meaty guitar riffs. The Red Bullets have been described as 'an intelligent offbeat pop band with a twist of rock' and are commited to songwriting, excellent musicianship and giving their audiences a good time. Warming up will be KGRL Radio's Featured Artist of the Month!: Hazel Mills fusing post-rock and Reich-esque minimalism with elements of glitch and 60s psychedelia, tracks veer from startling complexity to playful simplicity in an instant; experimenting with multiple layers of live-looping, obscure time signatures and unconventional instrumentation along the way See all these amazing acts in the fantastic surroundings of Joe Publics absolutely free. Wed 17th September - Joe Publics presents... Mango Factory with The Blue Room Baboons MANGO FACTORY ARE A FORMIDABLE 8-PIECE LIVE ACT playing a unique blend of original music and a few funk, latin, and soul / jazz covers: some well-known and some not so well-known, but all in a unique Mango style. Their music showcases each of the band members musicality, but more important is the overall sound - a great big melting pot of funky jazzy latiny madness. Sound intriguing? Well, come and check it out then. You won’t be disappointed with their locked tight rhythms, dynamic arrangements and multi-instrumental fireworks: plus vocal illuminations from two of Bristol’s finest vocalists in Ben Sayer and Aimee Mukherjee!!! The Blue Room Baboons started jamming together during the baking summer of 2004. They draw on many influences and have been describred as a melting pot of 70s funk, rock, jazz and a seasoning of ska.
